Issue with MDT Bundle Creator in BigFix OSD – MDT Build Download Failure

Hi Everyone,

I have recently started working with OS Deployment in HCL BigFix, and I encountered an issue during the installation of the MDT Bundle Creator.

One of the included tasks, “MDT Build 8456”, is failing because the server is unable to download the required packages. The failure appears to be related to inaccessible or outdated download URLs, as the download attempts return HTTP 404 errors.

I have investigated this issue and understand that it may be related to Microsoft removing or updating the original download links for MDT. However, I have not yet been able to determine the correct resolution or an official workaround.

Could you please advise on the proper steps to resolve this issue?

Hi yes, your analysis is correct the issue is related to Microsoft that completely removed MDT.
We replaced the legacy MDT with the new Windows Bundle. You can continue to use MDT only if you have it already installed, otherwise you must start using the new Windows Bundle.
We are going to remove these wrong Fixlets in next release and updating the documentation.
