As part of our migration plan our SQL team would like to rename the associated BigFix databases for tracking on their end. Is this possible with BigFix? I know I can change the default database on the ODBC connection to point to the renamed database but would this cause issues with other BigFix components? If these databases are renamed woudl I have to reconfigure anything besides the ODBC connections?

Hmm… It might work… but we might be using nameless DSNs in some places so you might hit issues somewhere… I haven’t tried it in a long time…

A bit late here, but when trying to do a version upgrade (v7 to v8) the upgrade failed if the database was not using the default name. We were told by support that renaming the database is NOT supported.
