Is it possible to import data from a spreadsheet into a relivance state such as machine names?

I am new to using Relevance, but I I was wondering if there was a way to have relevance reference an external spreadsheet like an Excel sheet or CSV file so I could manage specific machine names?

Also, if it is possible, can I see some example code?

What I was thinking was to have a list of machine names that could be referenced by relevance.

A separate list that I could manage and be used.
