Error happened when I tried to install recommended apps in iOS 6. I also tested on iOS 5, it works fine. Is it a bug introduced by iOS upgrade or TEM do not support this app recommend function for iOS 6 or there are other way? Thx.
This is an issue we haven’t seen before. Is this an app from the appstore or an internal enterprise app? If it is an appstore app, can you send us the link to the app?
Also, can you confirm you did not extract the IPA file from a device (using iTunes or any other mechanism)? If so, this is not expected to work since apps from the appstore must be delivered from the appstore for each phone (they can’t be copied from phone to phone).
Thanks for your reply. May I know your version of TEM platform and MDM? Because I know the latest version may have this issue resolved, but we can not upgrade to the latest version for it has problem with connecting to LDAP with Chinese characters in directory.
The TEM platform I’m using now is 8.2.1175.0, and MDM version is 1.3.1, and the recommended app installation problem exists.
Hello, what exactly is broken with Chinese characters and LDAP? As far as we have confirmed, there appears to be a bug in the LDAP “test settings” tool in the configuration dashboard, but the TSP itself can handle Chinese characters just fine. In addition, the problem with the dashboard would exist regardless of what version of the TSP component you have deployed because it is part of content which is deployed automatically whenever a new version of the site is propagated. Have you tried upgrading the iOS Extender and TSP and failed?
