Improving Console Load Time - Defragmenting drives

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

I’ve found that on heavily fragmented drives you can reduce the console load time by as much as 50% by defragmenting your disks. The console data cache is written to the os drive by default, usually here: C:\Documents and Settings<username>\Local Settings\Application Data. Most applicable to BES 7.0 and above with local caching enabled.
