Imaging follow right naming convention -OSD

Hi,

We use alphabet which is start A,T,U with laptop serial number ex. A28546,T45675,U98760 for naming conventional, we have experience people use wrong alphabet use for the machine name during the imaging.

I am checking option if the people not use start alphabet A,T,U then image process should not go next step.
Please advice

Hi,
there’s no validation on the hostname provided in the “user interaction” panel but maybe a suggestion could be to remove the “user interaction” and use the hostname rule in three different bare metal profiles on the same image (i.e. three profiles with hostname rules A[SN]. T[SN] and U[SN]) to set the hostname, asking to the user on the target computer to select one of them.
