Hi all,

I have some doubts, please could you help me

Yesterday we updated ILMT from 9.2.23 to 9.2.24

But I have the following questions:

The environment currently includes VMs with Linux Red Hat but also VMs with HP-UX (most of them) with the agent version 9.2.22.23

If the scanner is updated, is the agent updated?

Or should I update the agents independently?
It is not clear to me the difference between the Scanner and the agent
If so, should you run the Install or Upgrade Scanner? on all VMs and then Run Capacity Scan and Upload Results fixlet?

Sorry maybe my questions are nonsense but I would like to make sure I do the right thing and that the agents on the HP-UX VMs continue to work.

ILMT uses the BigFix platform to perform the data collection tasks on the endpoints running IBM subcapacity software. The BigFix Platform’s infrastructure consists of the Server, Relay(s), and Agents (also known as Clients). This infrastructure is managed separately from ILMT.

The Scanner is a piece of code that is run by the Agent on a regular basis, typically once every 7 days.

Typically, after you update ILMT, you need to stop the BigFix Actions related to the previous version (9.2.23.0) and start new actions from the Console using ILMT Tasks with 9.2.24.0 in their names.
