When performing initial configuration on Windows (disconnected scenario, version 9.2.44), on the step about the creation of the License Metric Tool database, we enter the host name of the database server and select Windows Authentication. The Windows user that we specified as the service owner during the installation of License Metric Tool is an Active Directory user that is also registered in the SQL Server Management Studio.
When we try to continue, we receive the message “Connection: the user does not have permission to create a database. Either grant CREATE ANY DATABASE or have your database administrator create the database.”
If we review the user profile configuration one the SQL SMS it has the Permissions and Roles indicated in the manual:
sysadmin role in MS SQL Server
db_owner role in MS SQL Server
default database schema set to dbo
default language set to "English" (not a variety of English)
Also as the ILMT service is local, the LogOn is assigned as “Local System account”.
Do anyone know what is the problem and/or what cofiguration is missing that it’s not indicated in the manual?
We appreciate any support you can provide on this.
