IEM - Issue with Web reports / Computer browser

The Web reports on my IEM infratsructure does   
not work. The following error appears:                                  
Database Error: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]  
Login failed for user 'dbuser'. (28000:18456)                           
                                                                    
I have verified the service log on account details and the Web Server  
service is also running. I get an error even when we try to login      
using the computer browser:                                             
Error contacting server. Status code: 500

Please help.

Actually ran into an issue like this yesterday and could not figure out what the issue was for a while. Used this guide to fill out the bits and pieces (as it describes what registry-fields to use when using mixed mode on the SQL server).

As a side note, we also found out that the IEM 9.0 ->9.1 installer is using a (undocumented?) property in the registry called
HKLM\Software\BigFix\Enterprise Server\UseRemoteDB=0 to select if it has to use the dsn provided, or it will just use local host.

Also, make sure to restart all the services when changing reg-settings

DId they work previously, or did the never work?

You should file a PMR with IBM about this.
