IEM Console not showing the BigFix Management section

HI Friends,

I just installed a brand-new IEM 9.1 server on RHEL 6. Everything on installation went fine and I was able to deploy the console into a Windows machine. Now, when I log into the console I cannot see the BigFix Management domain, even though the server has unrestricted internet access and there’s no proxy in the middle. How can I troubleshoot this error, considering that there are fewer options for linux as there are for WIndows deployments.

When you click on the “>>” button below the “All Content” domain, what do you see?

You should see

  • Show More Buttons
  • Show Fewer Buttons
  • Add or Remove Buttons >

You may need to configure the console to show you the additional Domain buttons.

Also, expand the sites link in the navigation bar and take a screenshot. What sites show up under that?

Not seeing the BigFix Management button in the console is normal. IBM didn’t bother to mention that its gets downloaded from their site and takes on average 20 minutes to show up.

I don’t know what log you can check to view the progress of the installation and there does not seem to be any progress indicator.

Adding to that the IBM site has been failing. Good luck.
