IBM Bigfix use of WebUI and SWD

Hi Team,

One Question :- If i am using 9.5.9 version of Bigfix and want to enable Software Distribution . Do i need to configure TSP and SSP from Console Dashboard or i can use WEBUI and manage the SSP portal ?

Because when i try to install TSP and SSP after the WebUI is installed the page is not availbale as SSP is https://servername/ssp and Bigfix WebUI is also https://Servername

Can someone highlight and let me know if i am going in wrong direction or guide me how to implement this with proper documentation

My Requirement is :—

  1. Software Self Service Portal for Users to install application
  2. Manage Groups and segregate software based on groups.

It’s because by default, they both use the same port (can’t remember what it is off the top of my head). You should configure one of them to use a different port; preferably WebUI because it’s easier to configure the port for that one.

Although I am curious as to why do you want to use SSP? SSP is a bit troublesome to setup and is in low support. If the idea is to manage software and let the end user decide when to install it, why not use the traditional BigFix ClientUI offers or the Self-Service Application (SSA) instead? SSA is the current preferred method as it has a more modern UI and is currently in active support.
