Hello,

I’ve applied: MS17-MAY: Security Update for WES09 and POSReady 2009 - KB4018556 (ID: 401855601)
To my test environment(windows xp, pos machines) and it causes this error

and causing major slowness to the whole system.
Is anyone else having this issue?

im having the issue now in our environment. i havent removed any KBs yet, did removing 4018556 fix the major slowness?

Do you have a test machine to try out the methods in the previous comment? If not, would you like to open a PMR to report this problem?

I did test this. removing the KB works. I see that Microsoft came out with a v2 of this update as of the 2nd of June. testing this new KB seems to have fixed the problem as well
