Hello BaiYunfei,
I’ve been unable to find the documentation which indicates that 3033929 was superseded by the MS16-120 Rollup or Security Only updates. In fact, 3033929 is not referenced in the MS16-120 article. Could you point me to your documentation?

We’re having an issue which we need fixlet ID 303392905 (3033929 for win 7 sp1 x64) to resolve (which works), however fixlet ID 319239103 (MS16-120 KB3192391 for win 7 sp1 x64) does not resolve the issue, and we’d like to ensure we’re correcting the issue properly and not opening a new can of worms.

Hi,

Looking at http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/ScopedViewInline.aspx?updateid=b798e0ca-e40a-41a3-bf2f-b4f11b0aa679, 3033929 for win 7 sp1 x64 is superseded by the monthly rollup but not the security-only patch, we will revert this supersedence, thank you for reporting.

FYI, this KB was released as a Security Advisory, which is not a security update, that is why it is superseded by the monthly rollup. Now it is classified by Microsoft Update Catalog as “Security Update”, we will revert the supersedence.

I see that this update 3033929 was marked superseded again, and while the functions related to SHA-2 appear updated and intact when using solely the superseding update 4038777, the Microsoft documentation again does not appear to support this conclusion. Can you provide the supporting documentation, or was this incorrectly superseded again?

Looks like it’s just not documented, at least at the KB page I see right now.
