For High Sierra updates , action 1 is removed as its automatically restarting the machines.
and Safari 11.1 is already bundles with Security update one.
I may have missed and my apologies if so, but was the change for High Sierra content noted somewhere? The fixlet description for 10.13.4 still says “The default action does not require internet connection on the endpoints. This action downloads the installer to the IBM Bigfix server and then installs the update to the endpoints.”
It’s not a huge problem for us to go directly to Apple to download but for those with smaller network bandwidth, these GB downloads could really tax their network.
For Safari, I’m inquiring about macOS Sierra/10.12, not macOS High Sierra/10.13.
For High Sierra install via the dmg file with script causes the system reboot automatically, that is why it has been removed. We have provided the updated fixlet description in new version 426.
We are looking into ways to bypass the auto reboot. However if its ok for you than we can provide the custom fixlets with auto reboot for now.
Also, Safari 11.1 , is already bundled with Security update for Sierra/10.12 (ID: 10120015)
I don’t require any custom fixlets to address the auto-reboot, but other customers may need it so they can tune in here. Otherwise, no need to make them available/provide them.
We run our own custom content to patch Safari on ElCapitan/10.11 and Sierra/10.12, and Apple had the Safari 11.1 update available for Sierra/10.12. I wasn’t aware that Safari was bundled into Sierra/10.12 security updates - thought that was only for High Sierra/10.13.
