Have you reviewed the upgrade logs on the BFI server yet? They are located at:

  • For Linux: /root/BFI_9.2.8_timestamp_uniqueID_logs.tar.gz
  • For Windows: C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\BFI_9.2.8_timestamp_uniqueID_logs.zip

Thanks for the initiative. I have checked few logs on the server and found that there I have an error with the log “trace_servers” saying that "the user account chosen for running the application service (LocalSystem) is different than the current service owner (Service account name used for running the application)

Does this mean that I should not be running the Inventory service with my service account?

I did something now which I should have done earlier and that is to go through the entire information that the upgrade fixlet has given as it seems that this error is already mentioned in the fixlet and I need to change the service from service account to local system account so that the upgrade can run successfully.

Lesson learned :innocent:

Hi,

You may always open a PMR for such case and work closely with support.

I’m glad you worked it out.
