IBM BigFix Compliance has been granted SCAP 1.2 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 for x86 and x86_64

IBM BigFix is pleased to announce that it has been granted Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) 1.2 certification for the following Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Desktop 32 bit edition (x86)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Desktop 64 bit edition (x86_64)

Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) is a method for using specific standards to enable automated vulnerability management, measurement, and policy compliance evaluation.

BigFix Compliance has been validated as well for the following SCAP 1.2 capabilities:

  • Authenticated Configuration Scanner
  • Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE)
