How to include custom unattend file in IEM Capture Wizard

Under “OS Deployment and Bare Metal Imaging > Manage Images and Drivers > Capture Images”:

If I use the “Capture Wizard” in IEM to capture my reference image, is there a way to specify the unattend file that I want to use for configuring my Windows reference image as it is sysprep’d?

If I run the wizard I get a pop-up letting me know that sysprep will run on the machine but there doesn’t seem to be a way to point it to a custom “Unattend.xml” so that it applies our enterprise configuration to the image when the image is captured.

Fuhrmach,
There is not a way in the built in image to specify the Unattend.xml, however you could always modify the content we provide. I have not found a good reason to modify the unattend during the capture, however I have used the settings using the “Manual” option in the “Deploy image to computer Wizard” to modify the Unattend or CustomSettings when deploying it. I would recommend that you take a look here: Windows 7 Migration Guide link

I think what you are suggesting, (with using the “manual” option during the “Deploy Image to Computer” wizard), could work. I just have to look at my process a little different than how I was building images before we got IEM.

Thanks for the info and suggestions. I’ll give it a try and post back if I have any more questions.
