How to get around "Administrative Login needed" when no user is admin

Hi,
In a large environment with over 5000 systems, around 2000 systems are in the “Administrative Login needed” state. The environment is a fairly strict environment where the users do not have admin privileges. The environment being distributed (over 150 locations), makes it humanely impossible for an administrator to login.
How do we overcome this - a large amount of Patching & Software install tasks are carried out here.

Will editing the regsitry “RunOnce” help ?

You can check what is in the RunOnce key which could give some clues as to what the issue is and if resolution is needed.

I wouldn’t edit or delete the RunOnce key.

It maybe that an Admin Login is needed for certain things to occur, but if an admin never logs in, then it would be fine.

I do wonder if some of the RunOnce issues would be cleared by a reboot, but I don’t think that is usually the case.

It might be possible to do a “fake” login using BigFix somehow, particularly during a time when no other user is logged in.

If for some reason you really really had to, you could probably do the Admin login remotely using something like Meraki, Bomgar, Teamviewer, TRC, etc…
