We have some reports from end users that they will click the Snooze button on the restart computer prompt for the default 30 minutes, but 2 minutes later it will ask them to restart again.
Can someone explain how the restart prompt snooze button works? Does it snooze all pending actions or just one at a time? Any idea why it would re-prompt after only two minutes when a user told it to snooze for 30?
The way it is supposed to work is that if you snooze for 30 minutes than it would reappear 30 min later… Perhaps if another action also needed a restart, it might reappear, but I am not sure… Is this something that you know how to reproduce? If so, we can check it out… but I hadn’t heard this issue before…
I can tell you the user had two actions listed, and they clicked Take All Actions. When prompted for a restart, they snoozed for 30 minutes. 2 minutes later it asked for a restart again and they snoozed again for 30 minutes.
“If the second action had a restart, then yes, that’s the expected behavior. The snooze won’t delay any new messages (the second action’s restart message causes the new display).”
