How BigFix downloading patches from relevent vendor?

Hi,

i have doubt with working nature of BigFix Server.

1.How the BES server downloading windows or relevent pathces or updates from vendor sites.whether it’s downloading while shedule time or automatically download when new patch released.

2.It’s keeping any dump in server or not ?
