Gather Status Report "Warning"

(imported topic written by amagewick91)

I have these failures in the gather status report on our main BES server. Is CPM the Core Protection Module? If so then this make some sense to me because we had a demo for this a while back, but it is no longer a site so these shouldn’t be happening. How do I get rid of these?

Those failures won’t hurt anything, they’ll just sit there forever because CPM has been unsubscribed and the server doesn’t have any reason to retry. If you really wanted to get rid of the messages, you could manually edit the GatherState.xml file, but there’s no supported mechanism for just saying “ignore this error”. As you can tell, that gather status page is fairly primitive – we think of it as more of a troubleshooting/diagnostic page than a standard part of the BigFix interface.

I have this issue as well. just to clarify if I want to get rid of the warning I need to manually edit the gatherstate.xml file? where do I find that and when I edit what do I make changes to?

The process described in the following technote applies (though not all steps are really required in your case):
