This HCL tech procedure reference BigFix servers that are no longer there. Specifically the BF Gather service. I suspect there have been a number of changes to BigFix since this was published. Is this still relevant? Here is the link

Yeah that isn’t applicable anymore as there is no Gather service. That was rolled into the Root Server itself.
@AlanM Can this procedure be adapted to a v9.5 or v10.0 root server when there are errors in the gather process?

The gather reset procedure for the server is that outlined here:

Both procedures are valid for 9.5 and v10 deployments, the only recommendation is do not use the procedure for the relay on the server because would leave the server in a inconsistent status …
If there are errors in the gather process, is not said the gather reset procedure is a solution …
That KB has been pulled intentionally. I think we are supposed to open a case for each gather state reset (GSR) we want to do.
