FTP port 21 and 22

I’m planning to install IEM in my environment, Here Port 21 is blocked and FTP 22 is open.
Will it cause any issues in getting information from the IBM Publishing servers?

because in the architecture diagrams, i see only the Port 21 is displayed everywhere.
Please clarify.

While there may be some vendor downloads that leverage FTP, I believe most now are using HTTP/HTTPS, and our own Fixlet Content is hosted via HTTP/HTTPS. Out of curiosity, which diagrams have you found referencing port 21?

Section E and can you explain me, what are those “vendor downloads”??
I’m quite curious to understand the difference between the fixlets that are pulled from Fixlet servers and the Vendor downloads?

Thanks in advance

IBM BigFix Fixlets are essentially XML documents that allow the system to identify issues, along with the steps to remediate identified issues. They do not actually contain patches or executables, but instead instruct the system on where to download patches/fixes from various Vendors (such as Microsoft, RedHat, etc…). These are the ‘Vendor downloads’ I had previously referenced.

Thanks for the clarification.

@Aram

Do you have any architecture diagram that shows all the connectivity(Server/relay/client/Fixlet servers) and port information with you?

Thanks

Did the link you previously referenced not contain the desired data?

I’ve also checked, and I’m not finding any recent Fixlet content that leverages FTP/port 21.

I want to share the IEM architecture to my team and I’m not finding any latest Architecture diagram which has all the port information and how do you check that “I’m not finding any recent Fixlet content that leverages FTP/port 21”
