Fixlet Issues

I am not an IS Pro so please bear with my description and explain answers more fully than you might do normally.

I have BigFix on my home computer and have an issue with it. On startup, it notifies me that there is a problem with the program but when I click the bubble and open the program nothing happens. It goes through the “Gathering”, “Done Gathering” thing but again nothing. At the very bottom it says “Evaluating one fixlett.” but there is nothing to click and simply waiting seems to do nothing either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not positive, but my computer has slowed down recently and I am wondering if it could be related to this.

ETA: From another forum post, I found this comment, “I believe you are asking about our BigFix Consumer Edition, which we discontinued updates and public support for a while back (except for eMachines and Gateway computers).”

have an eMachine so where can I go to get support for that?

ETA (again): After more searching, I found a notice on the eMachines site that says “BigFix is no longer supported on eMachines computers as of April 30, 2009.” It recommends that users uninstall the program using Add/Remove Programs. I would greatly encourage the admins on this board and other forum responders to pass this info along to other users who have problems and find this forum looking for answers. I know you aren’t obligated to help us, but it should be fairly easy to copy and paste 2 sentences.
