Fixlet: issue Adobe Acrobat Reader x64 update

Hi,

The latest update for Adobe Acrobat Reader indicates as relevant on all our machines where Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) is installed.

Adobe Acrobat Reader 2023.006.20320 Available - Adobe Acrobat Reader - Continuous Track (x64)
ID: 8101628

The downloaded update AcroRdrDCx64Upd2300620320.msp is downloaded to the endpoints but the installation fails with exit code 1642. This error seems to indicate that the update is not applicable and that the affected product is not installed.

Anyone with the same issues? We suspect that this could be an issue related to the relevance of the Fixlet.

Regards, Stefan

IF you check “Add/Remove Programs” which version of Adobe products do you see and which version? Do you see product called “Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Config”?

I have a case with HCL Support cause “Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Config” tool is creating false-positive fixlet issues (it’s showing relevant to machines that it shouldn’t be) and they are working on it but no fix just yet.

Hi,

The product installed is "Adobe Acrobat (64-bit), since no license is applied, it is running in Reader mode as seen below

This relevance statement evaluates to TRUE for any product installed that starts with "Adobe Acrobat (64-bit) "

This is probably where it goes wrong in our case.

@HCL, should we create a support ticket for this or is it enough to report via this forum?
