Hello,
I am looking to perform an upgrade to version 9.5 for all endpoints. I am going to upgrade the console, client, and server. When I go the BES support fixlet and tasks they are all greyed out and do not have applicable computers. Please see screen shot. How do I resolve this so there are applicable computers?
What version are you coming from? Are you using an external database? I think those factors drive the relevance for the BES Server uprgrade, and the other components don’t become relevant until the server has upgraded.
Please see https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/wikis/home?lang=en#!/wiki/Tivoli%20Endpoint%20Manager/page/Upgrading%20Best%20Practices for general reference. The points raised by @JasonWalker are certainly fair/valid (check the upgrade paths to v9.5 referenced in the link above: http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSQL82_9.5.0/com.ibm.bigfix.doc/Platform/Installation/c_upgrade_paths.html).
By default the Fixlet upgrades assume the best scenario, so to upgrade to 9.5 Endpoints you should have a 9.5 server and a 9.5 relay infrastructure. The fixlets do enforce that by default.
Is that the case for your deployment? They don’t have to be the exact same version but they need to be the same major.minor version.
