is it possible to extend the end date of a triggered action?? If not, this would be a nice feature.

Hello Harold,
A BigFix action is a firm commitment. Once the parameters of the action are decided on and you press that send button, it is signed with your digital key, sealed and delivered out to all your clients through the action site. If you were to try to change anything in that action it would no longer match the original signature. Breaking the seal breaks the action. Once launched it can only be stopped, never changed. This is a security feature. If an action were changeable, it could allow a non-authorized person to change your action and possibly use the BigFix client maliciously.
This gets me thinking though. It would be nice to be able to right click on an existing action in the console and have a “revoke and resend” option that would stop the existing action and pull a custom copy into the new action screen with all the parameters copied from the original action. That would allow you to change things, like the end date, then send out the new action with a minimum of data entry and clicking. It would mimic changing an action by stopping the old and creating a new that was the same but editable again.
It would of course cause a disconnect if you pull metrics on your deployments. You would have to add together the results of the 2 actions to get the “real” number.

Harald,
You can right-click --> Export the action. Then re-importing the action will allow you to target it again and change the end time. All other settings you created for the action should remain the same.
