We’re setting up BigFix Modern Client Management (MCM) and BigFix Mobile for managing WiFi login certificates (802.1X) on our non-domain Windows laptops, currently integrated via BigFix relay.
Our concern: The MCM setup in BigFix mandates Windows Notification Service (WNS) credentials. Given that our laptops are already connected through BigFix relay, we’re questioning the necessity and the extra costs of WNS.
Our key question: Is it feasible to configure BigFix MCM for our non-domain laptops to manage certificates via SCEP certification distribution for WiFi login (802.1X), without using WNS and thus avoiding additional expenses?
We welcome any insights on managing 802.1X certificates within our existing BigFix setup, especially from those experienced in similar BigFix MCM scenarios.
