Error message listed in windows system log

I’ve this and ones like it in some windows systems logs and i trying to find out how i can find out what it means and what service got stopped.

The computer ‘BESClient’ preference item in the ‘Domain-BigFix-ActionSiteUpdate {9BF8C898-E688-4E4F-B600-001621E3CEC8}’ Group Policy Object did not apply because it failed with error code ‘0x8007041b A stop control has been sent to a service that other running services are dependent on.’ This error was suppressed

Sounds like somebody in your environment has created a custom Group Policy Preference to control the BESClient service.

How do i figure out where that is and what it’s doing?

i can’t seem to find it anywhere

You’d have to dig through your GPO objects. Bigfix doesn’t put it there, someone at your company may have.
