Error adding Database in Web console

Hi guys,

I encounter a problem while attempting to associate bes_bfenterprise database to bigfix web console.

After specifying all the information on remote sql server, dsn and user account, the error given stated that

Cannot create or modify the database settings. The registry keys could not be created or edited. Please make sure the user has write permissions on “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BigFix\Enterprise Server\FillAggregateDB\RemoteDatabases”.

Web Reports Version 6.0.15.7

would appreciate some help to resolve this.

Hi xdademo,

You might need to adjust the permissions of the keys at “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BigFix\Enterprise Server\FillAggregateDB\RemoteDatabases”. You can give full access to “SYSTEM” and “Administrators”.

If you continue to have issues, I recommend you contact support for more detailed help.

Thanks, got it fixed yesterday after figuring out the item on registry

but interestingly, Administrator and system account already have full rights.

I am forced to have everyone full rights to that particular key, in order to resolve the issue though
