I keep getting failed to connect to x.x.x.x, connection refused) on some of my Oracle clients. How do i resolve this
@emeka, the 3 lines you included appear to be from the EDRDeployData for OLE patching via BigFix. Can you please include more log details? Otherwise you’ll need to open a support ticket with L2 as there’s insufficient details to assist further.

safe

1. Contact the upstream for the repository and get them to fix the problem.
2. Reconfigure the baseurl/etc. for the repository, to point to a working
upstream. This is most often useful if you are using a newer
distribution release than is supported by the repository (and the
packages for the previous distribution release still work).
3. Run the command with the repository temporarily disabled
yum --disablerepo=ol7_kvm_utils ...
4. Disable the repository permanently, so yum won't use it by default. Yum
will then just ignore the repository until you permanently enable it
again or use --enablerepo for temporary usage:
yum-config-manager --disable ol7_kvm_utils
or
subscription-manager repos --disable=ol7_kvm_utils
5. Configure the failing repository to be skipped, if it is unavailable.

/var/opt/BESClient/__BESData/__Global/Logs

So we can see in the BESClient log that the ERDDeployData is firing as expected, but raising an exit code of 1. This BESClient is communicating with the BigFix infrastructure, but the OLE patches are failing to apply. We need to investigate the RPM/YUM error messages under the /var/opt/BESClient/EDRDeployData folder to see why these OLE upgrades are failing. However, I’m thinking that this is OLE repo configuration related. At lease that’s the impression I’m getting from the previous posts.
Please review the OLE patch documentation to ensure all setup tasks have been completed. Once confirmed, please re-run your OLE patch test and then pull the logs from the /var/opt/BESClient/EDRDeployData folder for additional troubleshooting.

This issue is unique to just four servers. The same repositories is been used to deploy patches to the rest of OLE Machines and they are successful.
