Email notification for Task

I am quite new to BigFix, would like to know what the best method is to configure an email notification for a base line which is target a group of computers. the email should trigger each target complete the action with a status of “failed or completed” .

I’ve been using a Windows utility I found years ago called “blat.exe” to do this.
We add a Task as the last element of our patching Baseline when patching servers. It simply tells a list of users (defined in a Client setting) that the target computer has finished patching and is being rebooted.

The email task is only Relevant if “blat.exe” exists on the computer AND user emails are set in the client setting.

You can also create an automation script thru Server Automation that includes an email step on completion or trigger. You do have to configure the email service in Bigfix using fixlet 153 first.
