Elevated User Authority

We use SMS 2003 and Bigfix 8.1. We exclusively manage Windows desktops. We have been trying for a couple of years now to migrate off of SMS 2003, but there is functionality in SMS that does not exist is Bigfix. That is the ability to run a program and allow the user to interact with it and at the same time evevalte the users priviledges in order to perform a function like add a local printer. This is functionality that exists way back in SMS 2003, but still does not exist in Bigfix. Has anyone else found this to be a major shortcoming with Bigfix? From my point of view, I would like to see Bigfix polished more for Windows rather than trying to expand Bigfix to support many different types of platforms.

agree 100%. Our use case would be so the endpoint executing the action could run as a domain account and run a script on a different endpoint. However, running as a different user account should not be a requirement, or else you’ll need to have many firewall ports open and only needing 52311 open is a nice thing about TEM as it stands today.
