Download Error: "Received bad content-range header from server"

Trying to install office 365 patches from BigFix to a test machine, and I’m getting a Download Error: “Received bad content-range header from server” for two of the files. I can download the files manually on the root server, and we can’t find reports of anything being blocked by internal settings.

Does anyone know what this particular error means or what could be done to troubleshoot?

Thanks!

I am facing the same problem and didn’t see any fixes for that.

It’s for a OSD Image, I’m trying to do a In-place Upgrade and it just claims “Received bad content-range header from server”

No idea why, tbh

I am also facing the same situation. I believe the issue is the firewall is blocking http traffic. Does anyone know if there is a setting to force bigfix to download over https rather than http? I confirmed that microsoft makes both (for example)

and

accessible.

Just came across this other forum post that goes into this issue in more detail: Download patches on Https instead of HTTP - #11 by adinia

It’s been 2 years since it was posted. Any progress made? Is there now a setting in BigFix 11.0.x that supports forcing all downloads in actionscript to go over https?
