Download Error on custom Fixlets / Tasks

(imported topic written by twdavis41691)

HI everyone,

After the update to 9.0.586.0 we are getting download failures when trying to launch custom fixlets.

Like this…

Download error: "Unexpected HTTP response: 407 "

Download requested on server:

URL: http://bigfix.xxxxxxxxxxxx.local:52311/Uploads/cdc338b871f39f4c85b0471a0f047e3118f4f5f6/oabdelete.bat.tmp

SHA1: cdc338b871f39f4c85b0471a0f047e3118f4f5f6

Size:

Next retry: 7 minutes. Retry now

Has anyone else experienced this?

We are experiencing the same issue. We’re running 9.0.649.0.

We were able to resolve the problem in downloading external content by fixing the proxy settings on the BES Server, however, we cannot get custom content to download from the internal servers to our relays / endpoints.

If we use “download now” in the fixlet it forces the client to download directly from the source instead of trying to pull from their site relay, but that creates way too much network overhead. Using the standard “download” command we get errors and the download never completes.

It seems like this is a problem with the way the Relays handle internal addresses for content.

Thanks,

Tom
