I am not finding the up to date packages that are available in the SMTs, but are not present in IEM.
I was looking for SLES 11 SP3 LTSS kernels and also for SLES 12 SP1. The kernel versions available in IEM are fairly old
SLES 11 SP3 (SMT ) 3.0.101-0.47.106.5.1
SLES 12 SP1 (SMT) 3.12.69-60.64.35-default
Does IBM support any LTSS package from SUSE or just SLES 11 SP3 is excluded? The bigger issue is that after the release of a Patch version, usually after six months, SUSE puts that version in LTSS. Production can never catch up to the releases, so we are almost always in LTSS.
If LTSS packages are not available in IEM, then IEM will never be a suitable package for us to work with. It will never have up to date patches available to meet business needs.
