i try to setup bigfix client in a windows 2003 server x64 ,but it seem not work with no error report.

Yes, the Windows 2003 Server x64 is supported. Meaning the BigFix Agent will run, and we have content (Fixlets, such as patches) for it as well.
Did you get a chance to look at the client log? It might contain useful info.
When you say not working, does it register into the console? Or does it not behave in other ways that you expect?

Hi bigbao,
Try the “setup.exe” agent installer and that should work. We will check out the msi installer and see if we can reproduce the msi installer issue.

yes setup.exe can install bigfix client sucessfully.but in the BES Consel the OS of the client is displayed windows 2003 5.2.3790 as normal windows 2003 and the ravelant Fixlet messages is not surely correct.
example. Update:windows 2003 sp2 available. I have already updated the sp2 of windows 2003 x64,but
it still relevecent.

I have been running both server, console and client on a Win2003 x64 w/SP2 server for almost a year now. The agent has always shown the relevent x64 patches in the console.
Ben, let me know if there is any setting or something I can check or verify for you on my system - if need be.

Hi bigbao,
I think the default OS property doesn’t show if the computer is x64. You might check the OS property in the Analysis “Operating System Information (Windows)”.
Alternately, you might make a property with the relevance
x64 of operating system
and that will tell you if the agent thinks the computer is an x64 computer.

Note that the BigFix 7.1 ClientMSI package fixes the x64 issue with the MSI installer.
