Recently has emerged the need to disable an external Fixlet. In this case MS15-027 because it seems there is some relative installation problem, reported by Microsoft.
Here our Wintel team request to disable these fixlets to non deploy by mistake. Then the process used has been hide fixlets. But relevant fixlets and tasks continue showing these fixlets as relevant.
Is there a known problem that causes this?
Can it be done concealment sufficient?
I’m not sure I understand this request. You want the ability to disable the relevance query of a fixlet? In that case there’s not a way for an operator do that since the offering of this fixlet is done through an IBM managed site. Hiding the fixlet in the console doesn’t remove the ability for the fixlet to evaluate. It only means that it’s harder for operators to deploy it because they’d have to see hidden content.
Short form: You can’t “disable” a fixlet offered through the IBM managed site. The only solution is to unsubscribe the affected servers from the IBM managed patch site.
The problem was solved. Really you are right because the problem was caused by select all MS for a particular issue, and press button for Hide content. When really I need use contextual menu to select all Fixlet and hide all of them
There is a difference between “Hide” and “Globally Hide”
If a Master Operator "Globally Hide"s content, it can only be seen by other master operators.
If an Operator "Hide"s content, it can still be seen by other operators unless they also hide the same content, but they will still be able to see it if the click the “Show Hidden Content” button.
It sounds like what you want is to “Globally Hide” the content, not just “Hide” it.
