What is the different between IBM BIGFIX Inventory and IBM License matrix tool v9.2
Both are different console management and different features

ILMT is typically implemented when sub-capacity license reporting is needed for IBM software contractual obligations. I believe that ILMT is limited to IBM software only.
BigFix Inventory not only covers IBM, but many other software vendors through regularly published catalogs. I think the current catalog contains nearly 10k distinct software tittles from hundreds of vendors.
Licensing of BigFix Inventory and/or ILMT vary, so make sure to verify your entitlement before deploying.
With BigFix Inventory you gain access to IBM world class support and problem resolution resources. Support for ILMT (as ILMT is free) is limited to IBM’s dW Answers forum here: https://developer.ibm.com/answers/topics/ilmt/
Contact your IBM Sales Rep to find out how much it would additionally cost to add BigFix Inventory to your existing BigFix deployment (it may not be that much more). The cost will be easily justified in the money you will save in reducing software usage within your enterprise from the insights gained through BigFix Inventory.
