Device encryption

Hi,

I have tried to use the android security policy to enable encryption in the android phone’s storage but so far I can only ask the user to enable the encryption. Is it possible to enable automatically the encryption using a fixlet so we can add this procedure to our mobile provisioning process?

Hi riml,

It depends on which device and which version of Android. In general, enabling encryption on most Android today must be a user-initiated process (and often requires the device to be plugged in and it can take a while).
