Hi,

I have some systems having 6.0.15.7 version. I am planning to use Software distributin Wizard to deploy the BES client upgrade, that is EXE format. I followed the instructions on screen prompted by Wizard. Somehow it is not working.

The other option is I upgrade the old BES client to 7.0.9.164, but I am not sure if 6.0.15.7 can be upgraded to 7.0.9.164

Any help?

Hey Kaushal,

You shouldn’t need to use the Software distribution Wizard to create upgrade Fixlets for the BES Client, we publish Fixlets that will do this for you in the BES Support site!

Yes, it is ok to upgrade the BES Client from 6.0.15.7 to 7.0.9.164 and you should see Fixlets relevant named ‘Updated BES Client Now Available! (Version 7.0.9.164)…’ Do you see those? If they aren’t relevant it may be because you haven’t upgraded the BES Server/Relays which you need to do first.

Let us know if you are having problems using our Fixlets for this.

I can see that fixlet. I am aware of that. I was just curious to know about Software deployment. Anyways, I will upgrade the BES server and Relays first and later on BES client.
