Hi all

I have some problems with deploying Bigfix client.

first let me tell you for environment of my lab.

  1. I have install bigfix evaluation license for 10 clients(include server)

  2. The database, server, and console are on only one virtual machine(windows 2003 on vmware)

  3. now I found bigfix key that activate already and did not expire yet.(partner license)

  4. I delete all data on bigfix server include database to prepare to reinstall program with license above and also rename computer name maching with masthread file.

  5. Reinstall bigfix.

  6. when I deploy with AD administrator, it have problems as picture below

6.1. It appear “Windows error:Not enough server storage is avaliable to process this command” and “Windows error:No network provider accepted the given network path” I can not solve the problem although I am solving by Microsoft site’s solution.

I’d say you’re best to contact Support. Go to the main BigFix site and go to the Contact Us area.

sorry, i answer too late. I try to contact on your suggestion and they tell me to use “net use” in command line(cmd) just use “net use” but not any advice when net use not work. it may cause by my Active Directory or else? but share file another activities or access to AD is work properly.

  1. I want tool to testing “can my AD work with BES?” or some suggestion

  2. I want to solve 6.2 on above to POC my customer on Friday. please, someone help me.

As far as clients installing and running but not reporting, we had that problem as well when going from our proof of concept to dev environment. The clients themselves keep the data of which BES server to report to in their registry, so if there is a new server/name/install, it won’t know how to go there.

Try the BigFix Remove utility for the clients ->

http://support.bigfix.com/bes/install/downloadutility.html

every time I uninstall it I always use BigFix Remove utility to remove it. So it cann’t solve the problem.

I realize this thread is old, but you could try increasing the IRPStackSize value in the registry:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/177078

When the value is too low, additional network connections cannot be made to the machine (even internal network connections, i.e. the machine connecting to itself). That correlates to exactly what you’re seeing in the log.
