Deploy MDT Bundle Creator build 22000 Fails

I just tried to run the MDT Bundle installation on a system and get the following failure during the “Validate Endpoint” section:

Failed continue if {not pending restart AND not exists file “pending.xml” of folder “WinSxS” of windows folder}

I have tried this on both a hyper-v machine and also a Dell Optiplex 5050, with the same results. I checked in the folder location and couldn’t locate any “pending.xml” file. I went ahead and installed the pre-requisite components through Bigfix after the failed task, and was curious if there is a download for the Bundle Creator to install.

Does the machine have a Pending Restart?

It actually didn’t, however after posting this I noticed a new task available under the MDT Bundle Creator Setup titled “Deploy MDT Bundle Creator”. I ran this task, it completed successfully and now I can upload the new bundle.
