Deleting Stopped/Expired Hidden Actions?

(imported topic written by MattBoyd)

We have about 300 stopped/expired actions that are hidden (i.e. actions for manual groups) and I would like to get rid of them, but I can’t figure out how to. The HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BigFix\Enterprise Console\Settings\ShowAllActions registry entry doesn’t seem to work, so I can’t see the actions in the console to delete them. I think this was a bug that was introduced in 8.0.

Since I’m not prompted to enter credentials when deleting stopped and expired actions, I’m guessing it’s a database-only operation. I found a stored procedure, dbo.action_delete, that appears to mark an action as deleted. Is that all I need in order to delete these stopped and expired actions?
