Deleting a line / entry from Host file

Hi All,

I was wondering if we can remove / delete a entry from the host file of windows systems via BigFix.

Any help would be helpful.

You can’t do an in-place edit of the file - but you can replace it with a new one that excludes the unwanted entries.

Under Linux you should be able to write a shell script.

Linux or Windows the relevance would be something along the lines of

lines whose (it does not contain "<unwanted entry>") of file <host file spec>
