Default Password - Remote Control Server (Web GUI)

Hi Team,

May I ask if the default password for Remote control server Web GUI has been change for version 10?
It seems that default password here https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/9.2/lifecycle/Remote_Control/RC_CUser_Guide/rcusrserverlogon.html is not working on my end.

It is a fresh install.

Hello, the default password remained unchanged to password in version 10. Are you sure that, even if you performed a fresh install, a previous db was existing on that machine and you selected the option to use it? Please let me know. Kind regards

Hi,

It should be the same.

Default Admin ID: admin
Password: password

Thank you for the kind response.
Yes I did use and select that option Madam.
Before I install the remote control server, I created a database named TRCDB first manually using the Studio management.
Should I uninstall everything?

Yes it seems like that.
I guess I should get back in the first step and remove the TRCDB that I created manually.

Hello Team,

Just to update you guys, below is the process I performed.

  1. Uninstall the Remote control server
  2. Remove/delete the TRCDB using the Management Studio
  3. Install again the Remote control server, this time it has error stating that TRCDB does not exist, so I created the TRCDB again and now successfully installed.
  4. I tried to login the default username and password and it was successful.
