In my unix/linux environment I need to build relevance statements of items not contained in a pkginfo (sun), lpp(aix) or rpm(linux). For example the version of fibre hba drivers and need to run a operating system command to get the answers/data to query.
Is there a facility for me to create my own Inspectors for example, the running of
commands to get information about a IBM fibre card. I could run a cron job to output this to a file on all hosts and then have bigfix parse the file, but I don’t want to create all kinds of scripts outside of bigfix to gather all this static info in files.
