Custom Content creation

I’m looking for opinions on the best way to organize my custom content (specifically fixlets for updating unsupported 3rd party apps. ie 7-zip, vmware tools, filezilla, etc). I created a new Custom Site called “custom content” and i’m saving all my fixlets there. Next, i plan to create a new client setting “customcontentrequired” and will use that to determine what servers/workstations should subscribe to the “custom content” site. Is this a good approach? I figured i’d ask before i get to far ahead.

Seems reasonable enough. You could also drive the site membership based on whether a computer has any piece of software for which you create custom content installed. That way you don’t have to remember to set the client setting and it just populates automatically.
