We want to sync our custom CIS checklists with external CIS Checklist but want to get one clarity, if someone using this method.
What happen with the our custom checks which we had modified with our custom parameters, after or while sync will those modified checks lost or like what?
Is there any guideline before or after doing so ?
However I am going to test them in our Dev but just want to get more insight on this.
Your custom parameter values should be preserved, but if you manually edited the relevance or action script I’m not certain.
The main issue I had with synchronizing checklists is that all of the “Measured Values” analyses get activated, even if they were not activated before. This caused a problem in my environment as some of the analyses returned large volumes of data.
I ended up creating a new Operator Account, with access to the SCM sites and our custom Checklist sites, but did not have any subscribed computers. I used this account to sync the checklists and then re-disable the Measured Values analyses. As no computers were subscribed to this operator, they did not evaluate the analyses or report results.
