CSV format / email report

(imported topic written by TommyG91)

Forgive me if this question is dumb or already answered. I am trying to send a report in CSV format via email, on a schedule. If I send it in HTML format, it comes thru email fine. If I choose CSV, the report is BLANK. I can export to csv fine, but not sent in an email.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Tom

Hey Tom,

Not sure… You might want to contact support and see if they can figure it out…

UPDATE: When the report comes with the attached CSV, the Attachement does NOT show up. However, if you FWD the email, you can then see there is a CSV attached. It seems to have something to do with the email client. Office 2003 in particular.

hi !

we are having the same issue.

the report is sent to mail just fine but there is no CSV attached to the mail.

can some one could give me a lead to what to do ?

BTW - i’ve tried to FWD the mail … and nothing was on …

We also suffer from a similar problem.

I’m trying to send “Core Protection Module - Top 25 Most Recent Viruses” as CSV. The mail is sent and there is actually an attachment called report.csv, but it contains HTML/CSS/JavaScript garbage instead of CSV. BigFix Technical support is telling me they won’t help because it’s a custom report, but we definitely haven’t installed any custom reports.

Hi Leosulake,

The CPM report Top 25 report does not support export to CSV. You can get it in email by creating a scheduled activity in Web Reports and choosing the HTML version.
